Back at home now, thanks for your comments, sms and calls! As promised some details:

One day before I had my first flight in Charmonix, a fantastic ride along the valley and the glacier with a maximum height of 3200 m. For the next day the forecast was even better: dry air, good gradient, no wind. I wanted to climb closer to the Mont Blanc summit, and therefore I knew I had to go to the SW-side of the mountain.

Because of the rising valley-wind I had to takeoff early and so I spent the first 2 hours by checking thermal quality and watching possible thermal spots on the SW-ridge. At 14:45 I crossed the valley, followed by a hard fight for height almost face to face with a lot of tourist walking to the end of the glacier. 20 minutes later I made it to my preferred ridge, and for the next hour I had good thermals up to 3500m, fantastic view, everything perfect. I thought this would be the final destination for the day, when I saw some climbers relaxing at a nice spot (Refugio Durier, 3300m) on the border to Italy. From their view I was able to see the beautiful glacier down to Italy, and, much more impressing, an even better ridge up to Mont Blanc. Should I stay or should I go? There won’t be a way back if I fail to climb there, leading in a landing somewhere in Italy, spending the rest of the day with walking down to civilization.

Well, there was no wind, the sun hit the rocks, time of the day was perfect - and so I decided to go. After crossing the glacier a perfect thermal brought me up from 3000 to 4550! I will never forget that moment, flying straight to the summit, screaming at maximum volume…. I expected some NE-Wind in this height and was on the lee-side of the next ridge, so I went around the summit with respect. Maybe this was a wrong decision, I did not feel any turbulences, and otherwise it might have been possible to make the last 250m to the summit. Anyway – there is something left to do next time ;-)

The rest of the flight was a perfect sightseeing trip, I enjoyed the time of my life up there.

I’ll be back! Next time I'll take pictures, I promise..... Hopefully accompanied by others, would be great to share this breathtaking impression! Locals told me, there was no one flying up to Mont Blanc for 6 years, until August, 19 this year. Let us shorten the next period!
