Early and fairly risky start together with Heli Schrempf, managing not to bomb out in the first 10 km (it was quite close again, exactly like 2 days ago :))
After Tocopilla we lost each other during a tricky crossing. From there the mouintain chain was nice so it was just a race with the time, literally non-stop with the speedbar full on. Heli flew really fast too maybe 20 min behind and landed some 30 km south , but flew without any instruments (his gps shut down 10 min after takeoff) !
It´s crazy tiring to fly for such a long time always being close to the mountain and thermals can get very nasty. I had some situations while crossing through lee rotor thermals and my acro experience came handy to keep the wing open...Now at least 12 hours sleep to recharge...
