[Thread] Open Source?
Would you be willing to release the source code to GiPSy under an Open Source licence? I'd be very happy to contribute by adding Brauniger and Flytec support.
You could use the free code hosting at http://code.google.com/ or http://github.com/.
This way you'll never lose the code if your hard disk crashes!
Best regards,
Tom Payne

1 RE: Open Source?
I am not yet completely sure if I make it opensource.... I probably won't before the G-record thing is abolished....
I might do it before that without he private key...I will think about it :) Most of my projects ended up as opensource, I think I will do it with this as well. Thanks for the github.com , I am using git for development :)
Adding Brauniger/Flytec is unfortunately not that easy, as I would have to treat the IGC files differently... which probably includes some changes to the UI. Anyway, I will try to get hands on some of these instruments and port it..or make it opensource and let you do it :) But I warn you that firefox internals are quite ugly (although I did my best to shield myself from it).

2 RE: Open Source?
A big YES from my side for OpenSource/Free Software. That is the way to go. I understand the G-record creates a problem. Maybe possible to use a small binary module to shield it.
If Gipsy becomes OpenSource then all the lib from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gpsbabel could be used.
Anyway, thanks for a great program!
