🏆 And the last category of the 2025 World XContest season we would like to present is HANG-GLIDING (FAI-1)! 🏆 A total of 777 hang gliders took part in the last season. 🥇 Brazilian pilot Glauco Pinto snuck in one last big flight on 30 September to retain the win for another year at the 11th hour! He made all his most valuable flights at home from Tacima (the best is 480 km free flight) and Jaragua (triangles), total 2373pts. 🇧🇷 🥈 Silver goes to Italy again, where Suan Selenati defended his second place with beautiful triangles in the Italian Alps (total 2278 pts.). His best flight was an amazing performance from Zoncolan, from where he flew an incredible 328 km FAI triangle. 🇮🇹 🥉 And the bronze goes to Great Britain. Jeremy Soper traveled across Europe with his hang glider, bringing home a total of 1870 pts. 🏆 World XContest 2025 - the last PG category we would like to present today is the TANDEM category (min 2 people:))🏆 🥇The first place was again defended from the last seasons by world-class tandem pilot Philippe Sicardi from France with home flights and in Keyna. The best is flat triangle 223 km from La Clusaz (1,564p.).🇫🇷 🥈French pilot Michel Macquet Titi Btf and his wife took second place. They secured a total of 1,212 pts with extraordinary performances in Kenya. Their 254 km flat triangle from Nyaru is not only a record-breaking tandem flight in Kenya, but also in the world. 🇫🇷 🥉Slovak pilot Tomáš took the third place again. In addition to long return flights from Kilima in Kenya (max 180 km free triangle), he also flew a site tandem record from Kobala - 129 km flat triangle (total 1,157p.).🇸🇰 Big applause for all tandem pilots and their passengers! 🏆Now is the time to present World XContest heroes in the PG category STANDARD (max EN-B)🏆 The podium was quite similar to the last year's, with minor changes in the first two places. 🥇Manuele Dondi returns to the podium once again, this time to the top step. The longest flight by this Italian pilot was a flat triangle from Riederalp (303 km), followed by beautiful blue triangles from Col d'Izoard (total 2195 pts).🇮🇹️️ 🥈After last year's victory, French pilot Augustin Bedek took second place this time. His six best flights are from the French Alps. 🏆Now we would like to present World XContest 2025 winners in PG category SPORT (max EN-C) 🏆 🥇First place went to the Czech pilot Standa Klikar who finished second in the Serial category, with six of the best flights from the Brazilian flatlands (the longest was 513 km from Caraúbas, total 2737p.).🇨🇿 🥈Second place goes to the Czech Republic again, even though Ondrej Prochazka lives on the Canary Island of El Hierro. He also finished 3rd in the Serial category with long runs from Brazil (491km) and flat triangles from Switzerland (total 2682p.).🇨🇿 🥉Amazing Swiss pilot Serena Ronchi achieved a bronze medal. As the best women, she deserves all the glory with her cool straight lines from Brazil (the best was 469 km from Assu) and Alpine flights from Riederalp (total 2539p.). 🇨🇭 We very much CONGRATULATE all winning pilots and wish you a great new XContest season 2026! 🏆 Now we would like to present winners of SERIAL category (max. EN-D)🏆: The podium in the Serial category moved to the former Czechoslovakia. 🇨🇿&🇸🇰 🥇First place went to the enthusiastic Slovak pilot (and 3rd in Open) Juraj Koreň. In addition to his best performance from Antholz (332 km FAI triangle), he flew his remaining best flights from Col d'Izoard (total 2959p.).🇸🇰 🥈Second place goes to the excellent pilot Standa Klikar from the Czech Republic. In October last year, he flew all six of the highest-scoring flights in Brazil. The longest flight from Caraúbas was a free flight of 513 km (total 2737 points).🇨🇿 🥉And the third place went to another Red Bull X-Alps pilot, Ondrej Prochazka from the Czech Republic. He started and ended the season in the Brazilian plains. 🏆 World XContest 2025 champions - ♀️ WOMEN ♀️ ! For the first time, three heroines from the same country took to the women's podium. Switzerland! 🇨🇭 🥇The first place was successfully maintained by Serena Ronchi with her remarkable flights from the Brazilian flatlands and the local mountains from Riederalp. Her best performance and also her personal best, 469 km from Assu, contributed to a total score of 2539 points. This score is also the highest ever achieved by women in the history of XContest! 🥈Second place went to the talented Stephanie Westerhuis, mainly with triangle flights from the Alps. Her best flight, a free triangle of 301 km from Riederalp, also helped her achieve an amazing score of 2299 points. 🥉Third place went to the excellent hike&fly pilot Romy Sweda. Her best performance was a 399 km free flight from Tomé, Brazil (2277 points). We very much CONGRATULATE you girls, hope you will enjoy the next season 2026 too!
